Sunny Saturday

I kid you not, it was actually sunny today! After yesterdays 24 hours of torrential rain I had given up all hope of the weekend being anything but a washout, but, the day has been dry and sunny, which somewhat goes to prove my theory that the weather folks are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard and about as trustworthy as a magpie with the crown jewels!

I got my tush outside to enjoy the fresh air and that is pretty much where I have been all day. It seems I wasn't the only one out enjoying the sunshine either..

and this little guy took a shine to Mum

Image Hosted by 4FreeImageHost.com

They were quite cute in an un-furry critter type of way. Mum and the beans let them jump all over them for a while and were quite amused. I was my usual indifferent self after all they were too small to chase and they didn't look like they would taste that great!

Do you like Mum's bracelet? The littlest bean made it for her and she hasn't taken it off since! hurrumph, I give her loads of little gifts.. piles of my shedded floof, muddy unidentifiable treats i find in the garden, drool portraits on her leg etc etc.. and does she treasure them??

No.. she makes disgusted noises and gets rid of them! They all beat a bracelet if you ask me, she is soooo ungrateful! and since i have started ranting i may as well get it all off my chest..

We all know she has an obsession with Sherman, but what you probably don't know is that it doesn't stop there..for sometime she has been obsessed with Boston Terriers (You have a lot to answer for Mack, Joey and Tanner!!) and has now developed a thing for Huskys!! Oh and lets not forget the Airedale obsession.. in fact... to cut a long rant short, it's a good thing we are not millionaires or I would probably have several thousand brother and sisters!

One brother or sister might be nice though Mum.. *hint hint*

Well Ben, it is lovely bracelet. Why she does not cherish your's too is beyond me! I'm glad y'all got a sunny day. I don't know about your mum, but mine hates grey days! She loves the sushine. Well so do we, but at least we aren't all "oh,it looks so depressing out there. When is the sun coming back, yadayada, blah, whine, whine"
A brudder or sissy would be nice we think. Try to get one in your size though. Scooter loved playing with his chi sissy that went to the bridge 2 years ago. She bossed me,Sunny, around too cause she was alpha dog. I try to play with Scooter, but my big old paws kinda mess things up. Our Grandma next door has 2 chis and he goes to play with them sometimes. Me-I got nobody to bitey face or wrassle with. I been asking Mom for a sissy more my size. She just says,we'll see.
But I think I'm wearing her down! So keep nagging for one!
Hugs,
Sunny,Scooter&Jamie

Ben ! you have to talk with your vet. It is my vet that suggested VĂ©ronique it would be very good for me to have a sister or brother. He said that our quality of life ..... oups where is my english ?... increase a lot (best quality in fact)...much more he said....Maybe you should tell your Mom that you are not feeling well and want to go to your vet....
Have a nice week-end, kisses, Faya

My mom loves sherman also. I think they both have a problem. I mean sherman is my buddy but geez they are supposed to love us the best. Oh I will have to get mom to get a picture of those creatures down here. They are about 3 times the size of the ones you get.

Dear Ben
The beans made a beautiful bracelet for your mum. You make up for this in so many other ways.
The sun has just started to shine over here too. It has been raining heaps for 3 days now. Mum is taking us for a walk in the forest today .. we can't wait. Also, I met my first cow up close and personal this morning too.
Thanks again for your very kind comment on my blog and for all your support.

Hi Ben
I'm blaming my typist for this omission .. have you ever thought of having an English Setter as a mate ? We originated in England and we're one of the oldest dog breeds. Mum saw lots of English Setters in the Lakes District but this was back in the 1980's. You might want to warn your mum we are a "high maintenance" breed but we'll bring you lots and lots of laughter and love. I could teach you how to catch rats and mice and Hobson could teach you how to stalk birds.

I would probably eat those little critters. I think your right Ben about our Rottie owners, my Mum loves Dales and both pawrents like Boston's, we have 2 live over the road.
Enjoy Sunday, maybe try a mud pie for your Mum, people like pie.

Are you kidding?! Bugs are SO TASTY! And they're great to pounce around on. Big Pupi likes to growl at them and squish them with his paws. Mom thinks that it's rather handy to have a professional bug-squisher around.

Maybe your mom should get you a sibling cocker spaniel. I'm just sayin'...

Ha ha Ben. You have us laughing! I'm a little indifferent to your mommy's bracelet but my mama loves it. I know what you mean about obsessions with other dogs. My mama wants two of each and have a dog farm! And then breed them! I think she'd turn the whole world into dogs if she could! Hmmm. Not a bad idea.

All I can say is be careful what you wish for. I was lonely after losing Tasha and wanted a sibling. So those humans that claim to be my parents brought that thing home. He is NOT my sibling. He's a monster. I want a new one.

That bracelet looks really cute:) but no, I don't think that your mom should be partial to the "little bean" and favor his or her gifts more (I know, I have a lot to discover on your blog:))

Your drools and your fluff is precious...I guess the drools need to be washed off or after a few days she'd begin to look like the snow-woman...but the fluff is a different matter! She can do so much to preserve the fluff...for example, collect it and make a cute little cushion for herself - then it would be a gift to her from you and she could treasure it as much:)

If that was a whacky idea, it must be a trick that my drowsy mind is playing on me because it looks like a great one to me:)

See you again soon...and thanks for visiting:)

BTW, I like the way you paw-in your thoughts...it is okay if I added your blog to my blogroll?
