Ben! I'm afraid to go visiting blogs today after your post about sad blog news. I hope everyone is okay. I am totally stumped by your puzzler. Is it because it was day time?

Oh shoot! I think that darn Khyra husky beat me to it.

I would never have got that. Khyra and Sophie are so smart. And gorgeous. *sigh*

Everydoggie knows that a Buick Skylark has positraction and that it could never have left just one tire mark . . . wait, that was "My cousin Vinnie". The correct answer is, is that it was daylight.

anxiously awaiting tomorrows drawing,
Shelly

P.S. Thanks for letting me in numero-two!!

Did you get the treat? You can send them all to us. Mom says the more the merrier.

If this happened in the state of Merryland, its because the driver was reaching into the passenger seat to retrieve their cell phone and a beer, swerving into the oncoming traffic, missing the dog but killing innocent people as it careened out of control until hitting a tree... and the driver is unscathed.

(daylight... pffft, puhleeze)

I know the answer to this. The dog was protected by a force field that could detect Buicks and cause them to go off course. This force field was given to this dog in honor of all his good works on his planet. It was given during the day time.
I gave up on the dingbat and just went to paypal and donated myself from Pappy's account.

We guess he was driving down the road with his eyes open. And it was daytime!

PS - When we dropped by, it reminded us to get the badge back on JFF. We just upgraded to layout and lost everything not by blogger. Good thing we saved the email with the code. :)

Zoolatry made the lovely new header.

Either it was daylight or it had been dark for so long that everyone was used to it and could see quite well anyway! But I think it was during the day.

And I support Queen Meeshka's response too.

Was it because T-man Angel flew down from the sky and lifted the dog to safety? Uh..maybe not. I didn't do that. Oh well, I have to cheat this time and read the other's answers. Ha haa!!! Good one!! :)

Okay, we will try a different answer. How about it was really night time and the dog was saved by his Tapetum Lucidom. His eyes were glowing in the dark and the driver saw it.

fingers crossed,

the Animal Doctor and his team

I would have said the dog could glow in the dark. lol.

I think Miss Khyra beat me too it!

Ben,

I'm gonna say eyes glowing in the headlights? (Even though the daylight thing is probably the answer) We all know how we get scary eyes with camera flashes though...
