friends, critters, gifts and napping...

Finally nudged Mum into doing her job and uploading some photo's to show you all..

In my last post I told you about some furry friends that Mum and Dad look after from time to time.. so I thought I would introduce them to you.

Firstly Jasper (or Ginger Furball as I prefer to call him)

The Ginger Furball is Grandma's Persian Cat. He makes Dad sneeze and itch, claws Mums hands to ribbons when she grooms in and thinks he is a scarf (he likes draping himself round Mum's neck and going to sleep) but despite all this Mum, Dad and the little beans love him to pieces (and Mum claims she is not a cat person!!.. the secrets out now Mum!!)

kinda cute if you go for the ginger furry look!

Secondly Max

Max stayed with Mum & Dad when his Dad was away serving in Iraq and Afghanistan (and on various other occasions when Mum just *demanded* his presence!!)
Mum calls Max her surrogate son (so i guess that makes him my surrogate brother!). I can understand why she loves him, he is pretty handsome and a fairly cool dude.

You are doing a great job celebrating National Nap Day! My Dad says he's not a cat person either, but when my cat brother lays on his lap he makes sure he doesn't disturb him. When he asks Mom to get something for him she always makes a comment about Dad and cats. Dad's excuse is my cat brother is part dog so he's "different." And I'm the one they call weird?

We love that last picture, Ben! What big tootsies you have!
You have a lobster for a pet? Does he have a name?

Love ya lots,

Two lobsters, Little H and Houdini (so named because he is a little escape artist and when he was young was quite good at climbing out of the tank and wandering around the house!!)
They are too big to escape now, they shed their shells a lot (gross) and grow, Mum talks to them in a silly voice, it's quite embarrasing :)

Your mom and dad are really nice to take care of all those critters. Maybe they need to start a pet daycare??

Oh wow, that's a lot of different species being taken care of at your place! Max sure is one good looking dog, but still you are the best looking one there :-)

Ben, regarding the legal help you requested. I will see what I can do. I certainly know what it is like to have a human that does embarassing things, like singing in public!

hey thanks for the duck picture!

Mistress is drooling over Max - she would defo be looking after him too for a few days or more.

I think you are a very patient dog to put up with all those interlopers and it is important that you let them know You Are In Charge. I am saying nothing about The Cat.

Sometimes we find perfectly good bones at the lake to. We don't know why those humans just discard them with no second thoughts. Maybe they are hoping that we come along and find them..

Oh, Man!

My girl wants to reach through the pooter and give you a big smooch right between the eyes (she is MAKING ME write this... under duress).

You've got quite the critter collection, surrogate and resident. Your ginger cat looks like he's seriously angry at someone. Is that how he usually looks, or was it just the result of the photo shoot?

My hooman girl never was a cat person either, until she met Merv (my catbro). He used to belong to her best friend. Now he lives with her and sleeps on her bed. Go figure.

Goober love & smooches,
Stanley (your fellow rescue bud)
